Tim McGraw Reveals His Valentine’s Day Gift Track Record
“Some times are better than others," the 'Highway Don't Care' singer confesses (quote via Country Vibe). “It depends on how much time that I have or how lazy I’m being. But, I do pretty well most of the time."
He adds of the February 14 holiday, "Sometimes they’re bigger than others. Sometimes they’re just very simple.”
In the past, McGraw, a doting husband, has found a way to incorporate Hill's favorite hobby into unique, heartfelt gifts that his wife always enjoys. “Faith has a rose garden so she loves being around her rose garden and cuttin’ roses and stuff,” explains the singer. “So, I’ve been finding these antique vases to get her for several occasions so those have been pretty cool.”
We have a feeling McGraw will pull out all the stops this year considering the couple will be spending the romantic holiday day in Sin City for their critically-acclaimed Soul 2 Soul residency at the Venetian Las Vegas. The revamped stage show is the first time in six years that the first couple of country music has shared top billing for a major tour since their 2007 tour outing of the same name.
When McGraw isn't pondering perfect Valentine's Day gifts, the country music superstar is promoting his latest release, 'Two Lanes of Freedom,' which features his current Top 5 single, 'One of Those Nights.'
"I think the title track is really something we based the whole record around," the singer tells Taste of Country. "We recorded that song the first or second night of being in the studio, and sonically, when we recorded that song and it was all sort of cookin’."
"It really became the song that raised its head and we said, 'this is what we’re gonna base the album off of.' Every track after that … originated from that record," shares McGraw.
'Two Lanes of Freedom' was released on Feb. 5 and is currently the most-downloaded country album according to iTunes. The 11-track collection also serves as McGraw's long-awaited Big Machine Records debut disc.
