KHMO will provide live play-by-play of Hannibal Cavemen baseball throughout the 2014 season. Live coverage of each home Cavemen game, and each Cavemen game in Quincy, can be heard online.
Several events are scheduled to take place in Hannibal on Saturday, including a Corvette Show, parade, art program for kids, and Hannibal Cavemen baseball.
If you haven't been out to see the Quincy Gems play this summer time is running out. There is only one remaining home game and that is Saturday when the Gems host the Hannibal Cavemen at Q.U. Stadium. That is also the night the Gems give away the Toyota Yaris to some lucky fan.
The Hannibal Cavemen will host a special game on July 14 at Clemens Field. The Cavemen will play the U.S. Military All-Stars at 7:05. During this game, all veterans will be admitted free with their military IDs, and there will be special giveaways and fireworks following the game.
The Quincy Gems will have home games tonight, tomorrow (the 4th of July) and Saturday with all three nights featuring fireworks after the games conclude.
The Quincy Gems are presenting a benefit softball game this Saturday at Q.U. Stadium with the Adams County Sheriff's Department taking on the Quincy Fire Department. Game time is 6:30 Saturday night with all proceeds benefiting both departments.
The Hannibal Cavemen are once again hosting a series of fireworks nights following select games throughout the 2013 season. Three fireworks nights remain on the schedule: the June 28 game against the Quincy Gems, the July 20 game against Terre Haute, and the August 4 game against Danville, which will be the final home game of the year.

Local baseball fans are getting ready for opening day. Unfortunately, both the Quincy Gems and the Hannibal Cavemen will open their seasons on the road on May 28, but both teams will have home games the following night. Quincy will host Springfield, and Hannibal will be visited by Danville. The Gems and Cavemen will not face one another until June 3.
