Hannibal Arts Council Hosting Arts Camp For Students 13 – 16

The Hannibal Arts Council will host a week-long visual art camp for students ages 13 to 16 beginning July 22. The camp will provide participants with in-depth opportunities to work alongside local artists, learn about a variety of art forms and create their own original art. Instructors are Josh McCurdy (pottery), Joe Conover (encaustic), Brenda Benson (3-D mixed media), Carol Gilliland (wire work) and Pat Kerns (powdered graphite).

The exhibit, a project of the Hannibal Regional Office, spotlights the creative abilities of those with developmental disabilities. It will be on display May 10 through May 18 and features 136 pieces by 88 Hannibal Regional Office consumers from an eight county region.

‘Celebrate the Artist in You’ Exhibit Now Open at the Hannibal Arts Council

Spotlighting the creative abilities of those with developmental disabilities is the focus of the next exhibit at the Hannibal Arts Council. 'Celebrate the Artist in You' with be on display at HAC from May 10 through May 18. The exhibit includes 136 pieces by 88 consumers served by Hannibal Regional Office (Missouri Department of Mental Health – Missouri Division of Developmental Disabilities) in an eight county region surrounding Hannibal. Other are agencies serving consumers with developmental disabilities are also involved.
