Steson Crider Found Guilty in Quincy Murder
90 minutes of deliberation yields a guilty verdict in a Quincy murder trial.
After a ten day trial, the case against Steson Crider in the shooting death of 12-year-old Rayshone Humphrey Junior went to the jury shortly after 4 p.m. Monday. Humphrey was killed in the 1100 block of North Fifth in the early morning of March 28, 2015 as he awaited a ride home.
Testimony indicated events leading up to the shooting started with an altercation at a Quincy night spot and that Crider believed Humphrey was someone else.
Sentencing is scheduled for December 21. Crider faces up to 80 years in prison on the murder charge.
