Scotty McCreery has added 'published author' to his resume with his upcoming autobiography, and now fans can see the official cover of the book for the first time. The artist unveiled the photo on Twitter Nov. 18, along with the link to pre-order the book on Amazon.

The cover features a striking closeup of McCreery emblazoned with its title: Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream. Published by Zondervan, the book follows McCreery on his career thus far from American Idol to the present, weaving in aspects of his faith and personal life. It is slated to release May 3, 2016.

McCreery’s book will likely precede the release of his new record, which will contain his most recent single “Southern Belle." He has said that the edgy single is “as far left” as he goes on the new album, but it sounds like he’s mixed in a little grownup flair, too. McCreery recently unveiled the sleek video for “Southern Belle,” featuring a slew of cheerleaders and marching band members from Nashville colleges Belmont University and Vanderbilt University. Though no other songs from the upcoming album have officially been released as singles, he has shared another new one titled “Five More Minutes,” which pays tribute to his late grandfather who passed away earlier this year.

The American Idol alum has spoken to the impending farewell season of the show that brought him and several other successful artists — Carrie Underwood and Lauren Alaina, just to name two — into the spotlight, calling it “bittersweet.” Though according to judge and fellow country star Keith Urban, it may not be over for good.
