Reba McEntire to Host 2017 ‘CMA Country Christmas’
Reba McEntire announced Wednesday (Sept. 13) that she will be hosting this year’s CMA Country Christmas. The CMA bills the annual event as “a night of celebration, guaranteed to get you in the spirit!”
“Watching CMA Country Christmas has become one of my favorite holiday traditions,” McEntire shared in a Facebook video, which readers can watch above. “And I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to host.”
McEntire also announced that she would be re-releasing her Christmas album, My Kind of Christmas. The re-release will feature performances with artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Trisha Yearwood, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Darius Rucker and more. My Kind of Christmas will be available for purchase on Oct. 13, but 10 lucky fans will win a signed copy of the album, plus other holiday merchandise.
McEntire is currently nominated for the 2017 CMA Awards’ Female Vocalist of the Year prize. She’s also helping the Grand Ole Opry celebrate its 40th anniversary later this month, performing two special shows at the famed venue on Sept. 22.
