Coming back from vacation is usually an adjustment.

I generally find myself anticipating some time off and then coming back to face reality, upon my return.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my job. But like anyone else, I look forward to some extended time away from the job.

This was a "working vacay" to be sure. I enjoyed taking my time with tasks, but at the same time, I had a number of projects that I needed to get completed around the house.

I don't think anyone really enjoys cleaning out their basement. Keep in mind, I don't have a finished basement with 60 inch t.v. and a complete "man cave." I have a 19th century basement, that has been improved ever slightly over the years. It's one of the places where I find myself storing items that I don't use very often. So, after cleaning and sorting out the things that I really need to have on hand, versus things that I'm keeping because "I might need them someday," I created a junk pile that would supply Sanford & Son with at least two truckloads of items.

All I can say is, I'm glad to be back at work, where I can "relax," - in a busy sort of way, if you're the boss and reading this.
