It's been four months since spring cleaning, and if you're like me, you said "I'll take that pile of trashbags to the dump tomorrow." Well... we're now on "tomorrow" number 155. It's time to get rid of all that trash and any other trash you've accumulated in the past four months. And any old tires you have lying around.

Not quite time yet, at least, but it's coming soon! Hannibal Parks & Recreation announced the Citywide Cleanup for October 28th. You can finally get rid of all that stuff you've been meaning to get rid of. According to the Parks & Recreation's Facebook page, lineup for the cleanup will start on Bluff Street off Highway 79 and is open to Hannibal residents only. They will check ID to make sure you're not a New Londoner trying to sneak trash in.

They won't accept electronics, like TV’s or Computers, no yard waste, and no liquids. You can bring in tires at $3 each, and appliances will be accepted as well. A full list of guidelines on what will and will not be accepted is on their website.

You can contact the Department of Public Works at Hannibal City Hall 573-221-0111 ext. 216 or email EPrice@hannibal-mo.gov.
