On Saturday, Oct 6, the public is invited to a 100th Anniversary Celebration for the Show Barn at Windsong Acres, near Camp Point. The unique and historic barn, built by Clarence and Cora Dickhut in 1912 and renovated by Jeff and Shelly Rasche in recent years, in an Adams County landmark and is currently being considered for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Admission is free; donations are welcome and will help maintain the barn for the future. Visitors may wish to bring lawn chairs.

Old-fashioned games for children will begin at 3pm. Between 4pm - 7pm the celebration will feature music by local singers and groups. Tours of both barns at Windsong Acres, photos of the barn restoration process, antique tractors, cars, antique farm artifacts and demonstrations by members of the Adams County Olde Tyme Association. Food and refreshments will be available.

All guests will have the opportunity to sign a wood plank that will be added to the barn to commemorate the 100th anniversary celebration, and a group photo of all who wish to pose with the barn will be taken at 6pm. Beginning at 7m, the Silver Dollar Square Dancers from Quincy will demonstrate square dancing.
