Breakthrough Artist of the Week: Runaway June

Each Friday at 9:30am, KICK-FM will feature an artist on the rise during the Breakthrough Artist of the Week, brought to you by Glass One Quincy.

From The Trio of Dolly, Linda and Emmy Lou, to the Dixie Chicks, to The Wreckers and The Pistol Annies, female country groups have a fantastic ability to grab a hold of audiences and work their magic. The ladies of Runaway June are no exception, and it helps that all three are triple threats: great songwriters, great vocalists, and great musicians. They dropped their debut single "Lipstick" recently, and after spending the summer slowly, steadily climbing the charts, it's poised to break into the Top 40.
