Each Friday at 9:30am, KICK-FM will feature an artist on the rise during the Breakthrough Artist of the Week, brought to you by Glass One Quincy, home of the hassle free guarantee.

After competing on season 6 of The Voice (Team Shakira), Ddendyl Hoyt set out to make a name for herself. She's classically trained in violin and opera, but grew up listening to country and gospel. This South Carolina born, upstate New York raised vocalist drew inspiration from some of her favorites, Johnny Cash and Reba McEntire, to guide her on her journey to country music. Her songwriting is a reflection of her country roots and upbringing, and when mixed with her powerful vocals, her songs become something to truly experience. For more about Ddendyl Hoyt, visit her website. Her single "Where I Come From" is available on iTunes.
