Weekend Community Calendar for November 3rd – 4th

The 10th Annual Veteran's Parade in Quincy is Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. There are over 100 entries and the parade will also feature a flyover of a C-130 Hercules aircraft from the Air National Guard out of Peoria, Illinois.

The parade runs from 12th and Maine down to 5th and Main and honors Veterans and those presently serving in the Armed Forces.

For those unable to view the parade that morning, a second parade will assemble at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy at 1 p.m. to allow the residents of the home a chance to see it as well.

The Melrose Chapel United Methodist Church will be having their annual Craft Show, Bake/Nut Sale, Silent Auction And Strawberry Jam Saturday November 4th. Lunch will be severed featuring homemade soups, sandwiches, pies & drinks. The event runs from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Get your table of 8 ready for a fun night of trivia and laughs. There are 11 different categories of trivia, and only your best 10 count so you get to throw out your worst category! The cost is $120 per table and for more information click here.

The QND Pom Team is hosting a Trivia Night Saturday November 4th. The theme is "Through The Years," and will have questions from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 00's. Entry fee for a table of 8 is $120 with a first place prize of $200. Call 217-257-0386 to reserve a table.
