The incredibly popular Summer on 6th event in downtown Quincy proved to be so popular, it was granted an extension into the fall months, with an appropriately autumnal name change: Fall Into 6th.

Summer On 6th started as a way for people to enjoy all the great shops and eateries downtown Quincy has to offer after hours. They close down 6th street from Hampshire to Maine, and featured live music, games, activities, food and shopping. It was such a hit, they'll keep it on into the fall.

Much like the summer series, Fall Into 6th will hit every third Thursday of the month, September, October, November and December. September 20th could be a fun farewell to summer celebration, as it hits two days before the Autumnal Equinox. Obviously on October 18th, it could be an amazing Halloween street party, with November's 15th event being a great community Thanksgiving get-together. And who wouldn't want to attend a nice Christmas party on December 20th to wrap up the year.

Were it up to me, to theme these out, that is. Make sure you follow the event on Facebook so you can stay up-to-date on everything Fall Into 6th.

It's so exciting! I love this sort of thing. Block parties and get-togethers. Fosters a great sense of community. We'll see you out there on 6th!
