Yadier Molina

There have been rumors of interest for weeks, but now it's official. The St. Louis Cardinals have found their successor to Yadier Molina. Willson Contreras has signed a multi-year contract with the Cards.

I think many of us diehard St. Louis Cardinals fans would love to say thank you to Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina for all of the great memories they've provided over the years. While we may not be able to do that in person, it is possible to sign huge thank you cards this weekend inside Busch Stadium.

Unless Yadier Molina invites you over for a BBQ, you're not likely to ever seen inside of his St. Louis home that includes a batting cage with Astroturf. Thanks to the internet, you can see pics of the inside of this epic estate.

If you're one of those for whom the 2022 baseball season can't get here fast enough, we've got good news.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced Tuesday that they have agreed to terms with premier franchise catcher Yadier Molina on a one-year contract for the 2022 season. Financial terms were not disclosed.

In what is a pretty cleverly done spoof of political styled 'attack ads,' the Milwaukee Brewers have gone after St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina. The ad is an attempt to garner votes for the Brewers own catcher, Jonathon Lucroy, for the upcoming All-Star Game in Minneapolis.

Major League Baseball consists of a schedule of 162 games with 81 of them scheduled to be played at home.  It is a long season and usually there are a couple of milestone times during the season when people stop and take a look at where teams are.  One of those is Memorial Day and the other is the Fourth of July.  I thought I would make a third stopping point at the first day of summer.

The St. Louis Cardinals open the 2012 season tonight in Florida against the "Miami Marlins".  Can't get used to saying that.  Another thing I am having a hard time adjusting to is seeing Albert Pujols in an Angels jersey.
