As you might imagine, it's big news when there are mountain lion sightings in Missouri. But, it's also news when these big cats seemingly have completely disappeared from the state and that's exactly what's happened so far in 2024.

It's been a lively season for bears in southern Illinois and that point was proven yet again over the weekend as one of these apex predators was spotted making cameos on security camera photos and even ringing doorbells in Monroe County.

There are so many ways this encounter in the Missouri woods could have gone so very wrong. A mushroom hunter in Missouri was out looking for morels when he found something else instead. It was a mother bear with cubs in tow and he has video showing what happened.

If you've ventured in the river bottoms near Hamilton, Illinois especially at night, you no doubt have heard sounds you would have a hard time explaining. There are many who claim even their pets became unsettled by sounds made by something near the river there.

You have to be careful when you explore caves in Missouri. Someone or something might have found that cave before you and still be inside. That's what happened to a family recently and the sound they heard coming from deep inside a cave was...interesting.
