The 2015 Missouri vs. Illinois All-Star High School Baseball Game will be played on Saturday, July 11. The game will feature the top 48 senior baseball players in the area representing 25 different high schools on both sides of the Mississippi River.

The Quincy Fire Department has placed wreaths with red lights on them at all of their firehouses around the city of Quincy. The idea is to have nothing but red lights on the wreath which would mean a fire free Christmas season for homes in the city. The Quincy Exchange Club will be hosting the Annual Gus Macker Basketball Tournament in Quincy on May 25 and 26. The time to sign up 4-person teams to play in the event has been extended.

The 24th Annual Teddy Bear Clinic was held yesterday at Blessing Hospital and it was a huge success. According to officials at Blessing Rieman College of Nursing over 300 youngsters and parents came by the 3 hour event.

Next week is Fire Prevention Week and the Quincy Fire Department has some activities schedule in conjunction with the week. On Saturday, the QFD will host a kick-off event at the Quincy Mall.

The 24th Annual Teddy Bear Clinic will happen this Sunday afternoon from 12p til 3p at Blessing Hospital's main entrance. If you have kids aged 2 to 10, bring them by with their favorite teddy bear, stuffed animal or doll. The nursing staff at Blessing-Reimann College of Nursing will make sure your kid's teddy bear is in tip top shape when they leave.
