Television, in years past, always left the 7 p.m. central time slot open for family programming. Over the years that has gone away. Fortunately, the major networks continue to air some classic holiday programs for families to view during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. With that in mind, here is a list of the broadcast information for upcoming classic family holiday shows.
The Vancil Performing Arts Center in Quincy will be featured on PBS stations WQEC in Quincy, WMEC in Macomb and WSEC in Springfield tomorrow and then again on Sunday.
Country star Martina McBride and Train singer Pat Monahan will debut their new duet ‘A Song for You’ on the upcoming PBS special, ‘From Dust to Dreams: Opening Night at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts.’ The show was filmed at the opening of the Smith Center in March and also features performances by an array of country and pop musicians.
