Muscle Cars

It's been a few decades since I had what would be considered a muscle car, but those were driving days I cherished. That's why the muscle car lover in me is in denial that 2 legendary muscle car series are now predicted to disappear from Missouri roads in 2024. Say it ain't so.

I don't want to giveaway my exact age, but let's just say that I am way overdue to begin my midlife crisis. It's a good thing I live in Missouri because there are no better states I can think of to begin a middle of life meltdown.

There was a time in my life that I thought I wanted to be a police officer, but I decided I didn't have the heart for it. Perhaps that was a mistake as I've just learned there's a Missouri police force that now drives sweet muscle cars and I want one.

Don't know about you, but I used to be a car guy. Then I had kids and my muscle car love became a memory. I'm not complaining. However, there is still slobbering car lover inside of me somewhere that is drooling over a recent barn find in Missouri. It's a rare 1969 muscle car that you almost never see anymore.

You never know what you might find hiding inside an Illinois barn or in this case a corn field. A 1970 Chevelle that hasn't been started in over 27 years was recently brought back to life and you can watch it happen.

I love this although it does seem a bit risky. A gender reveal was recently completed with the blessed couple learning if it was a girl or boy by a massive burnout. Get er done.

If you consider yourself a "car person", you're gonna love what some collectors found tucked away in an Iowa barn. It was a rare combination of 1969 Plymouth GTX and a 1971 Challenger R/T both collecting dust in a corner.

An Illinois doorbell security camera captured a very sad moment when a firetruck clipped a dude's sweet ride.

It's no secret, at least around the radio station, that Mr. Holliday and I are both in love with American muscle cars.

Forgive me for this extremely inappropriate comment, but I wonder if Carroll Shelby would consider adopting me?  Because that's probably the only way that I will ever end up with this car...the brand new Shelby Mustang Cobra 1000....
