I have mentioned before my history of being born and raised in Missouri, but I also have many friends and family who either live in Texas now or have in the past. They can tell you that anyone moving to Missouri from Texas with certain expectations are in for a real shock.

Every city and town has its good qualities and bad ones. But, is it possible for a place to get everything wrong? A new study says there are 5 places in Illinois that pulled off this infamous feat and you should never ever consider moving there or you'll regret it.

I have fully accepted that I was not born to understand everything, but I'm mystified about why there is a provable trend of people fleeing Florida for rural Missouri. There's real science and data to prove this is happening.

Perhaps desperation is the wrong word to use to describe what one Illinois town will do to motivate you to move there and work. There's no mistaking the fact that they're offering a lot to whoever is willing to call their part of the Land of Lincoln home.

Numbers are not my specialty, but it doesn't take a math genius to be completely befuddled about the sheer number of workers that have left the state of Illinois in just 4 short years. It's really remarkable by just about any measure.

I realize that I'm not meant to understand everything in life and this is a great example. Why are so many Colorado people suddenly moving to Missouri? I have data to prove it's happening and I'm mystified as to why.

If you thought you were seeing a lot more California license plates on moving trucks entering Illinois, just wait. Thanks to a new change to how electric bills are figured in California, the exodus from the Golden State to the Land of Lincoln will only increase more.

The internet loves to tell you the most popular places that people move to and I understand that. I'd like to share the opposite with you. It's the only state in America that no one in Missouri moved to last year and it's not Hawaii or Alaska in case you're wondering.

The title alone will make my Missouri family and my Iowa friends spit water out of their noses. But, I'm not actually joking about some very legitimate reasons why a sensible Missouri person might actually want to consider moving to Iowa. Really.

I suspected this was happening, but now I can prove it with science. Illinois is under an invasion from the east. Probably a zillion Hoosiers are choosing to call the Land of Lincoln home and that's only a slight exaggeration.
