About 20 artists received over $5,000 in awards on Saturday, June 29th during the 10th Annual Midsummer Arts Faire private Artist Awards Dinner held at the Quincy Art Center at 6:30 p.m.

The recently completed 5,000 square foot mural located at 115 North 4th Street in downtown Quincy will be dedicated on Friday, June 28th at 4:30 pm prior to the opening of the 10th Annual Midsummer Arts Faire. The public is invited to attend the short dedication ceremony.

This year marks the 10th anniversary for Quincy's Midsummer Arts Faire. Even though the event is now a decade old, I had never attended until last summer. I happened to be babysitting my then seven-year-old niece that weekend, and we were looking for something to do. We gave the Arts Faire a try, and had a great time!
