Matt Holliday

In a surprise announcement Thursday morning, Matt Holliday has resigned as a bench coach for the St. Louis Cardinals for the 2023 season.

I fully realize that baseball is really just a silly little game where grown men run around with wooden bats, swinging at cowhide balls while running around and stepping on four square bags. Yet, this child's game is completely occupying my mind today. Doesn't matter what I do or where I go, all I can think about is today's Cardinal game.

The Hannibal Pirate Family Foundation Annual Banquet is set for Saturday night, April 21st.  You hear us mention banquets and benefits all the time on KICK-FM and many are for really good causes.  But, this is one I wanted to bring special attention to.

The St. Louis Cardinals open the 2012 season tonight in Florida against the "Miami Marlins".  Can't get used to saying that.  Another thing I am having a hard time adjusting to is seeing Albert Pujols in an Angels jersey.
