The Mark Twain Cave will once again host the Harvest Hootenanny, featuring three days of food, entertainment, arts & crafts, and family activities.

MoDOT and its contractor would like to invite area residents to learn more about the upcoming resurfacing and shoulder improvements on MO 79 from Route T in Hannibal to Route E near Saverton. The open-house-style informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 25 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the A. D. Stowell Elementary School located at 500 Union Street in Hannibal.

There is cheese in Mark Twain Cave.  No, we have not been attacked by the Wisconsin National Guard.  During our live broadcast at the cave this week, we learned that Mark Twain Cave has partnered with Heartland Creamery to produce "cave-aged" cheese.  Historically, this was a common practice back before there were refrigerators.  But, there's a good reason why it's being done again.
