This sounds like so much fun. The Salvation Army Kroc Center will host two free magic shows and Friday and Saturday. Ed and Marge Jarvis are retired officers of The Salvation Army, and are professional entertainers. Ed does magic, and Marge is a professional puppeteer. Both shows will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Kroc Center, 405 Vermont Street in Quincy.

Quincy Christian School is bringing the "beardless brother" from Duck Dynasty to the Kroc Center on May 16 to speak during a school fundraiser. The school has also announced that they will host a special “New Season Luncheon” with Alan and Lisa Robertson on the same day.

Alan Robertson, one of the Duck Dynasty brothers, will be speaking at a fundraiser for Quincy Christian School on May 16. That show is insanely popular. It's been on the air since 2012, there's licensed Duck Dynasty merchandise of pretty much everything imaginable, and the stars of the series draw huge crowds at their speaking engagements. Quincy Christian School has announced that they will be bringing special guest speaker Alan Robertson of Duck Dynasty to the Kroc Center on Saturday, May 16.

The Quincy Salvation Army will open the Kroc Center and Family Services office as cooling centers on days when heat advisories are issued for our area, for those who need to get out of the extreme heat.

Looking for something used, but not too used? The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Quincy is holding its first-ever Upscale Garage Sale on Saturday, May 10. According to the Kroc Center, the event will feature "high-quality items at garage sale prices."

The Salvation Army will continue its annual Tree of Lights Christmas Campaign in Quincy and Hannibal until the end of January in order to meet goals.

The Salvation Army will serve a free community Christmas dinner on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
