Kids who have been climbing the walls under quarantine could sure use a breath of fresh air. That's just what they'll find this summer in Hannibal in a summer camp that offers a unique combination of theater and nature.

Still needing to fill some time of stuff to do this summer? The Hannibal Arts Council's Wild & Wacky Art Adventure, will be holding a FREE arts festival for kids and families, on August 4th. This is a hands-on arts festival for kids ages three to twelve.

Children ages 5 to 12 will have a jolly time creating holiday gifts at the Hannibal Arts Council’s popular annual event Holly Jolly Hands-On Holiday Workshop to be held on Saturday, Dec. 5. Two time options will be offered this year to accommodate busy schedules and an increased number of participants. All roads lead to northeast Missouri and western Illinois this weekend, with no less than four marquee events taking place simultaneously in the area.

The Autumn Historic Folklife Festival in Hannibal has become one of the most loved annual events in the region. The festival is nearly 40 years old. Vendors, performers, residents and visitors will all converge on Hannibal's Main Street for the 2015 edition of the Folklife Festival October 17-18.

Second Saturday Gallery Night takes place every month in Hannibal. It gives the public a chance to enjoy an evening along Main Street, see new and special art exhibits, and maybe even win a prize. Michael Gaines, the executive director of the Hannibal Arts Council, gave us some behind the scenes info on this monthly tradition at Hannibal's art galleries.
