I am not alone in my admiration of the TV series American Pickers. I ran into one of the hosts in Missouri several years ago, but that's not the news I have to share with you. I've learned that American Pickers is coming to Missouri this June and you can be on their show.

I've heard it said that perception is reality. That's not true because I had a perception that some actresses were from Missouri and have learned many aren't. I've also discovered many famous actresses that are from the Show Me State that I never thought would be the case.

Sometimes it can be difficult for film fanatics - especially those that don't live in a giant city - to find much more than Hollywood blockbusters from local theaters. Sure there's Netflix, video stores, and some nice online options for home viewing, but what about the experience of seeing a great film with an audience? The Quincy Public Library has an answer to this dilemma.

Is there anything in your life that's way out-of-date, or way out-of-style, that you just can't live without? For example, a lady in our office still uses a word processor. Even though she's perfectly capable of operating her laptop, the word processor is a tool she's used for years (probably decades), and she's comfortable with it, so that's what she types on. The reason I was thinking about this
