Dogwood Festival

It isn't truly spring in Quincy until Dogwood Weekend. And now just over a week out, (May 3-5) we have our FULL schedule. If you are planning on attending any of the festivities, here's what you need to know.

A Human Foosball tournament is coming to Quincy. You read that right.

The official text from Alta over at the Quincy Chamber came in at 7:13 this morning. The parade was on! Though the weather wasn't entirely complimentary to our 47th annual tradition down Maine, it was decidedly good enough. It would take more than a few drizzles and 50 degree temps to keep Quincyans from mounds of free Tootsie Rolls and frisbees...

After the 2015 Dogwood Festival Parade, I was a part of the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce clean-up crew. There were numerous crews working on Maine Street that day, consisting of members of the Chamber plus student volunteers. Each of them did a wonderful job of bringing Maine Street back to normal.

The recent Dogwood Festival parade has me asking: how is littering still a thing?

Another Dogwood Festival is in the history books. We hope everyone had a great weekend, and had a great time at the parade and the festival, despite the slight rain delay for live music on Saturday night.

The Annual Dogwood Festival is this weekend in the City of Quincy. Today's "5 Questions With..." segment features Alta King, Communications Specialist from the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce.

The 2015 Dogwood Festival will be extra special, as it celebrates the 175th anniversary of the City of Quincy. The festival will include a parade, concerts downtown featuring a variety of types of music, activities in Washington Park, and more.

Quincy's 2014 Dogwood Festival is ready to go! This years' theme is 'Top of the List,' and activities kick off on April 30.
