Well, this was more than a little unexpected. There are at least 7 retailers who have announced they will be closed for a 24-hour period in Missouri during a time when they were previously open.
It seems to me that people take their grocery stores way too seriously. On one hand, I understand that where you get your food is a vital choice. But, the customer service complains sometimes get out of hand. That's why one grocery store being voted the most popular in America is a big deal and they happen to have 23 locations in Illinois.
I understand why many stores over the past half-dozen years have moved to self-checkout options, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Could it be there is good news for people like me that detest having to battle robot registers in Missouri? There are many reports that give me hope.
With groceries costing so much over the last couple of years, it really hurts to know that of the 7 cheapest grocery stores in the US only one of them is in our Tri-State area...
A report is out suggesting there are TWO possible retailers for the old Kmart location in Quincy... Target & Costco...So if these are the finalists which one would be BEST for Quincy?
