A traffic stop for speeding in Marblehead results in arrests on a variety of charges.

 

Illinois State Police say they stopped a car clocked at 56 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone at 10:29 p-m Saturday.. An Illinois State Police K-9 unit alerted to the odor of illegal contraband in the vehicle. One passenger was found to be wanted on two outstanding Adams County warrants… another was found in possession of marijuana. A handgun reported stolen in Quincy was also found in the car. A male juvenile was also taken into custody and released to his parents pending formal charges for possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. 19 year old Tyquan Campell of Quincy was arrested on Adams County warrants for aggravated criminal sexual abuse and criminal trespass to state land. 19 year old Henry Johnson II of Quincy is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a street gang member, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition and possession of a stolen firearm. 18 year old Kordell Tucker of Quincy is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a street gang member, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition and possession of a stolen firearm.  Campell, Johnson and Tucker were taken to the Adams County Jail.
