After a decade and then some of trying to achieve the greatest accomplishment of all, country foursome Little Big Town have finally done so this week. Their current single, 'Pontoon,' tops both the Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck country singles chart.

The platinum-certified song, penned by Luke Laird, Natalie Hemby and Barry Dean, is the band’s fastest rising single to date and the lead track off of their album 'Tornado,' which will hit stores on Tuesday, Sept. 11. It is their very first No. 1 single of their career.

"After working towards this for 13 years, it's an even sweeter reward than we dreamed,” says LBT's Kimberly Schlapman. “We're just soaking it all in and it feels so good!"

“We'll be celebrating this for a while," adds Karen Fairchild. "We can't say thank you enough to country radio, the fans and our whole team for giving us our first number one!”

Little Big Town also recently celebrated the success of 'Pontoon' earning a Platinum certification by the RIAA for digital downloads exceeding one million copies sold.

Rounding out the Top 5 this week are songs on the rise by Josh Turner ('Time Is Love'), Hunter Hayes ('Wanted'), Jana Kramer ('Why Ya Wanna') and Keith Urban ('For You').
