Popular Fridges Recalled in Missouri Because They Might Kill You
If you're like me, you rely on refrigerators to keep your food cool and safe. If you're like me, you also might like to know that one of the most popular fridges in Missouri is being recalled because it might be trying to kill you. I'll explain.
I had a friend share a link with me from Fox Business about this huge recall of more than 300,000 refrigerators from popular manufacturer Frigidaire. The United States Product Safety Commission confirmed in a bulletin that this massive recall of specific Frigidaire models is underway for a very good reason.
It says (and I quote):
The recalled refrigerators contain an ice bucket assembly component that can break resulting in plastic pieces entering the ice bucket, posing choking and laceration hazards to consumers if the pieces are dispensed out of the ice bucket.
Here are the side-by-sides from Frigidaire that are being recalled. By the count shared, there are thousands of these in Missouri homes right now.
Here are the models with the slim ice buckets.
What do you do if you find you have one of these recalled refrigerators?
The bulletin from the USCPSC says you can call Electrolux Group toll-free at 888-377-7563 from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Time Monday through Friday or check out the recall website from Frigidaire for more instructions on what you can do.
