Rumors Say In-N-Out Burger Coming Toward Missouri – Some are True
Let's get this out of the way from the start. In-N-Out Burger does not have a location in Missouri - yet. However, rumors are screaming loud that the beloved food franchise is heading toward Missouri and there is some truth to what is being said.
UPDATE: KSDK now reporting that the CEO of In-N-Out says the company has no immediate plans to build a restaurant in Missouri.
ORIGINAL STORY: I first saw this word about In-N-Out Burger coming to the Show Me State beginning to spread on a post from the Missouri sub-Reddit. It's based in real truth. It's a Fox 4 Kansas City report about In-N-Out Burger expansion plans.
You might recall we shared a story back in January about the possibility of In-N-Out building a Missouri location.
So it's true that In-N-Out Burger is coming to Missouri really?
Not so fast. The meat (pun intended) of this report is a KTLA story about In-N-Out Burger building a corporate headquarters and restaurants in Tennessee which is the first eastward expansion for the franchise (which they previously swore they would never do). While that's close to Missouri, it's not within the state borders so let's not get carried away even if that is a lot closer than Texas.
There is hope for a future Missouri location though
If you read between the lines of a report earlier in 2023 by Bon Appetit, In-N-Out is now looking toward the Midwest and Missouri in particular. If the success in Nashville happens as expected, it would not be surprising at all for In-N-Out Burger to look at St. Louis and maybe even Chicago someday for future expansion.
Let's journey back to current reality though
Even if In-N-Out Burger expands to Missouri, it won't happen before 2026. The Nashville location isn't even opening until 2026, so anything in Missouri would follow that.
It is all speculation at this point, but when you hear rumors about In-N-Out Burger coming to Missouri, know that there is some fire where there is smoke. They are moving TOWARD Missouri. Just not there - yet.
