Chicago-Based ‘Fast Casual’ Protein Chain Expanding to Missouri

If you love all things protein and you live in Missouri, good news for you. A Chicago-based 'fast casual' protein chain will be expanding to Missouri soon.

I saw this interesting side-note on Nation's Restaurant News about "Look Who's Franchising" and among their list is a very successful Chicago-based place that now has its sights set on Missouri.

It's Protein Bar & Kitchen and the report says that one of the next franchise locations will be in Missouri. Their locations page on their website shows most of the current places are in the Chicago area although there is now one at the Salt Lake City, Utah airport and another in Indiana.

The Nation's Restaurant News article doesn't specify which city in Missouri will be receiving this franchise, but a guess of somewhere in the St. Louis or Kansas City area would be a good one although a place like Columbia would likely welcome a protein-based fast casual chain with all of the University of Missouri students nearby.

If you look at their menu, the choices at Protein Bar & Kitchen aren't similar to what you normally see in a fast food place. It will be interesting to see how Missouri receives this brand once it opens for business.
