A Missouri logistics company had an unwelcome and sudden surprise that resulted in them closing their doors immediately and letting all of their workers go all due to one big contract lost.

The most recent posting on the Missouri Jobs site is bad news for a logistics company that had many delivery drivers under their roof. It's a WARN notice submitted by Larken Logistics, LLC in Fenton, Missouri. The state of Missouri shared details of the letter they received from Larken Logistics, LLC which said it was closing it's Fenton, Missouri location at 655 Assembly Parkway immediately. All 66 workers are immediately jobless.

The company said they were notified on September 2, 2025 that their contract with their lone client was ending. Based on information on Indeed, that customer appears to Amazon. Indeed also shows that Larken Logistics has facilities in St. Peters and Hazelwood, Missouri along with St. Louis, Shawnee, Kansas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There is no word if any of these other buildings or workers will be affected by this sudden loss of contract. The WARN notice says that the closing of the Fenton facility is permanent and all workers were let go as of September 2, 2025 with no bumping rights to other parts of the company.

According to the state of Missouri Jobs site, there have been 4,057 workers laid off so far in 2025.
