According to the American Meteor Society website, this big space rock was spotted over much of the middle of the United States including Missouri around 9:56pm Tuesday night, May 30, 2023.

The fireball was so large, it was captured on video from several different states. Jennifer Waldrop shared her video from Oklahoma City.

Shadolynn Hankins shared her video which showed the disintegrating rock close over her head in Pennsylvania.

The official tally as of this writing is 8 states where this meteor was sighted including Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and even Washington state. That makes it one of the largest meteor reports so far in 2023. James Laird even saw it from his home as far south as Atlanta, Georgia.

The odd thing about this big space rock is that there are not any current well-known meteor showers underway. The next expected meteor showers aren't expected until late July. Leave it to space and nature to constantly remain very unpredictable.
