WARN Filing Reveals 91 Job Cuts at Illinois Firm

The one document you don't want to get from your employer is the one that comes on pink paper. Sadly, that's what 91 workers in Illinois just had happen as a notice to the state informed them of imminent job termination.

I've now lost track of how many WARN notices I've seen posted to the Illinois Work Net Center site. According to the just posted document, 91 workers have been laid off by Strategix Management in Joliet, Illinois. The posting says that the layoffs were effective on June 2, 2025.

There is confirmation of this mass layoff by The Layoff Tracker on X.

The company website says it was founded in 2016 and is "an innovative consulting firm with a strong focus on delivering complex, real-world change through federal programs". The WARN notice seems to indicate the Joliet, Illinois location is closing, but it's also possible this layoff could be a restructuring with workers being allowed the opportunity to relocate to other locations. As of the date of this writing, there's no confirmation if the layoffs are temporary or permanent.
