Home Depot Closing Missouri Facility – 61 to Be Jobless
A new WARN notice submitted to the state of Missouri reveals that Home Depot is about to close one of their Missouri facilities for good and 61 will soon be jobless as a result.
The Missouri Jobs Site shows this new submission to state regulators by Home Depot about an imminent closure of a Missouri distribution center. It shows that Home Depot's facility located at 4665 E Liberty Street in Mexico, Missouri is closing.
The attached letter to the state of Missouri by Home Depot's representative says huge facility will close permanently on October 26, 2025. It goes on to say that all 61 workers that are being let go will be laid off permanently and will be separated from the company for good with no union workers affected and no bumping rights involved. It does not appear there will be an option for any of the affected workers to transfer to other Home Depot locations as a result of this layoff.
According to the state of Missouri Jobs site, this new layoff from Home Depot brings the total number of Missouri workers laid off this year to 3,922.
