I want to be clear that I am a welcoming person. The more the merrier I say. However, not everyone feels that way. If you're of the disposition that we have enough outsiders that have moved to Missouri, I have some truly amazing news to share with you that is practically guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Before I begin, a question. If you were wanting to move to someplace in America, where would you look for information? I'm guessing you'd likely to turn a website with a great reputation for rating places, right? Someplace like Niche which does a great job of deciding which places are great places to live.

Well, do I have some great news for you. Niche has just released their 2023 list of the best places to live in America. Take a moment, if you will, and look at the top 50 best places to live in America and see if you notice anything. I'll wait here...

So why is this new Niche list such great news for those tired of people moving to Missouri?

There are absolutely no Missouri cities/towns in the top 50 best places to live. That's right. Nada. Those who are looking for a great place to live won't find a Missouri place in sight. That should reduce the number of Uhaul trucks you see cruising down your street.

You'll have to scroll all the way down to #60 where you'll see Clayton, Missouri. None of those top 50 seekers for the Show Me State.

I say all this with my tongue firmly in my cheek. My family just moved back to Missouri and our neighborhood could not be more welcoming if they tried. Absolutely friendly outstanding people. Wouldn't want it any other way. But, I do have the occasional friend who will talk about not being happy about all the transplants taking over. This list is for them.

As for me and my family, we say come on down to the Show Me State. We'll keep the BBQ grill warm for ya.
