2 of the Top 25 Coolest Midwest Lake Vacations are in Missouri
If there is anything that Missouri does exceptionally well, it's lakes. Two of the Show Me State's best waterways have just been included in the top 25 coolest Midwest lake vacation spots in America.
This is no small potatoes website that has made this lake vacations list. This is Midwest Living. They just listed the top 25 Midwest Lake Vacations and two are indeed in Missouri.
Lake of the Ozarks is ranked as the 6th best Midwest lake vacation while Branson, Missouri and Table Rock Lake come in as the 11th best.
Both of these choices are interesting and while I don't disagree, it's also worth mentioning that Lake of the Ozarks is considered the most dangerous lake in America also.
When most people think of Branson, they think of Wayne Newton and the many celebrities that have theaters there. Silver Dollar City also helps with the tourist options. That being said, Table Rock Lake is reason enough all by itself to head to that part of Missouri.
The entire Midwest Living list is worth checking out if you are interested in day or weekend tripping to the many other water places in the middle of America. Some great options and it's awesome that Missouri is credited for having a couple of them.
