Chaser in Missouri Has Windshield Destroyed by Baseball Size Hail

If you're a storm chaser, the danger doesn't just come from the tornadoes that might drop out of the clouds. In the case of one storm chaser in Missouri today, it was hail the size of baseballs and softballs that completely destroyed his windshield.

Storm chaser Brandon Copic was following a storm near Lamar, Missouri on Saturday, April 15, 2023 when he found himself on the receiving end of massive hail. Big thanks to Brandon for allowing us to share his big hail moments.

Hail Point showed dozens of locations in Missouri that recorded huge hail like Brandon ran into near Lamar. Rolla and Jefferson City, Missouri both reported hail up to 3.75 inches.

Many locations in Missouri saw hail including Stockton State Park Marina.
