Hannibal Man Bound Over for Trial in Quincy Shooting
A Hannibal man charged in connection with an August shooting incident in Quincy has been bound over for trial.
At a preliminary hearing in Adams County Circuit Court Wednesday, probable cause was found to hold 18-year-old Lelen Bonds, Jr. for trial.
Bonds is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm in connection with the shooting of 18-year-old Henry Johnson of Quincy near 5th and Cherry August 25.
Bonds is alleged to have been a passenger in a car that pulled up beside Johnson as he was walking. The two got into a brief shouting match and Bonds allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Johnson.
Johnson suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Bonds faces an arraignment hearing October 14. He is in the Adams County Jail on $100,000 bond.
