Eric Church shared a little wisdom during his 2019 CMA Awards
performance. The country star and Entertainer of the Year nominee brought his recent No. 1 hit "Some of It" to the Bridgestone Arena stage on Wednesday night (Nov. 13).

Perched in the middle of the packed venue, Church sat on the stage with one other guitarist. And together, they delivered an acoustic gem of a performance. And in true Church fashion, the way he sang the most poignant lyrics truly brought the message of the song home for everyone who watched.

Like he does, Church once again proved that sometimes, simpler is better.

"Some of It," from Church's most recent album, Desperate Manhit No. 1 in July. He co-wrote the song with Jeff Hyde, Clint Daniels and Bobby Pinson, but it wouldn't have made it onto the record if not for his wife, Katherine, who played the song for a friend, inspiring the superstar to go back and add it to Desperate Man's track list.

Church did not win Entertainer of the Year at the 2019 CMAs — the award went to Garth Brooks.
