July 27 - Fine Arts Open House Saturday July 27th from 8 am – 12 pm. Come & experience all of the Fine Arts activities that The Kroc Center has to offer. You will have a chance to do arts, crafts, music, and more. Come any time during the four hours. There will be 3 different activities per hour and a total of 6 different activities. You will be able to experience all 6 in a two-hour block of time.

July 7/26 - 7/28 - Hannibal BBQ Fest Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Hannibal, BBQ competition Saturday with awards given Sunday, Country music all weekend long Craig Morgan Friday night July 26, Clint Black Saturday night July 27 and Russell Dickerson Sunday night July 28. August 2 - The Kinderhook Park 4th Annual Ice Cream Social & Bingo will take place on Friday August 2, starting at 5 PM. Come enjoy an evening with family & friends, ice cream, homemade cakes and fun filled everything of Bingo. There are lots of great prizes to win. Event proceeds will go towards expenses at the Kinderhook Museum.

August 3 - The 14th Annual Hull of a Race is on Saturday August 17th in Down Town Park in Hull, Illinois. The Adult run will start at 8 AM and the kids fun run will kick off at 7:45 AM. Register online before August 3rd at or the day of the race at 7 AM. All proceeds collected go to Parkinson’s Research.

August 5 - Do you know what to do in an “Active Shooter” situation? Find out how to protect yourself by attending a program provided free by the Quincy Regional Crime Stoppers, Quincy Police Department and Quincy Public Schools.  Quincy School Superintendent Roy Webb will be a speaker with the program provided by Quincy Police Department Sergeant Bryan Dusch. This one-hour free program for people 17 and older could save your life and will be held at the Quincy High School Theatre on Monday, August 5 at 6:30pm

August 10 - The Hot Pursuit 5K is August 10th starting at 8 am. Registration is just $30 and includes a t-shirt and a finisher medal. You can also purchase addition items the day of the event. The race will take place at Moorman Park in Quincy. All proceeds will go towards The Quincy Police Benevolent and Protective Association Unit 12.

August 14 - The Hannibal LIONS Club will be holding their annual fundraiser on Wednesday, August 14th at Central Park (Broadway at 4th and 5th in Hannibal). The Pork Steak Barbecue is open to the public, and carry-out will be available. There will be both a Noon meal served from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and Evening meal served from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Each meal ticket is $8. In case of rain, the event will move to the Y Men’s Pavilion at 1st and Hill Streets. All proceeds from the fundraiser go to help people in our community with eyeglasses, eye exams and other eye related health issues.
