Each Friday at 9:30am, KICK-FM will feature an artist on the rise during the Breakthrough Artist of the Week, brought to you by Glass One Quincy.

A California teen who idolizes punk-rockers Social Distortion seems an unlikely Breakthrough Country artist, but another one of her musical heroes, Dwight Yoakam, would hit the stage at punk clubs playing his own brand of west coast country. And that's where young singer/songwriter Jade Jackson steps in. Her debut album was produced by Social Distortion frontman Mike Ness, lending a powerful edge to the soulful country she croons and strums, leading to accolades from Rolling Stone and Paste Magazines. For more about Jade Jackson, head to her website. Gilded, featuring her debut single Finish Line, is available on iTunes.
