WalletHub has announced the best and worst cities in 2015 for finding a job. To compile their list, key metrics such as job opportunities and employment growth were analyzed across 150 of the country's most-populated cities. Des Moines, Iowa came in second in the nation, and leads a sparse list of cities in the Midwest that scored highly on the survey.

Seattle, Washington came in Number 1 as the best city for finding a job in 2015, followed by Des Moines and Gilbert, Arizona.

The closest Midwestern cities to Des Moines are Omaha at Number 7, and Lincoln, Nebraska at Number 18. Madison, Wisconsin came in at Number 19.

Kansas City was the highest-ranking city in Missouri, placing at 34th. St. Louis tied Colorado Springs for 74th. Springfield, Missouri also ranked, but not very high, coming in at 106th place.

In Illinois, only two cities made the list, and both were ranked on the lower half. Aurora, Illinois placed 81st, and Chicago came in at 118th.

The bottom three cities on the list were Detroit, Michigan; Moreno Valley, California; and San Bernardino, California.
