It amazes me how much people care about what products celebrities use or endorse.  Here's an example:  Nike and Reebok recently got into a big legal fight after Tim Tebow was traded to the New York Jets.  Why?  Rights to selling Tim Tebow jerseys.  And why do Nike and Reebok care?  Because you do...apparently.  And the money spent on Tim Tebow jerseys proves it.

I personally am a Tim Tebow fan.  I think he's a great guy.  Do I care what type of deodorant Tim Tebow uses?  Thought has never entered my mind.  Am I more willing to buy a Nike or Reebok product because Tim Tebow wears their shoes?  Not a chance.  OK...I'll admit if there was some magic Tim Tebow hair gel which could make me look like Tim Tebow, I'll be the first in line.

Since we've started doing blogs on the new KICK website, we've had an amazing response to opinions we have on things...which we very much appreciate.  But, to be honest, I have to wonder why people care what I think about lawn sprinklers.  (Trust me, sooner or later, I'll blog about lawn sprinklers)  I'm just a regular guy who just happens to do a radio show for his job.  I go home to take care of a family just like so many hard working people in this area.  In my opinion, what I think about the new Rascal Flatts album shouldn't matter to you.  Your viewpoint is just as valid as mine.

I bet if I walked around in the t-shirt that Tim Tebow is wearing, people would not be buying as many Jockey t-shirts as they are now with Tim as their spokesperson.  (The reasons are many and obvious)

Forgive me if I don't understand all the hoopla about what products public figures use or what they think about things.  And, don't even get me started on celebrities that come out to endorse political candidates.  We are just ordinary people and while we greatly appreciate your amazing support of us, I don't really feel that people should care nearly as much as they do about what we have to say.

Having said that, thanks for reading yet another blog of mine :)
