Why Are Elmo and A Minion Walking Down 24th Street?

Because with the recent full moon and upcoming eclipse, it's bringing out the crazies? Because the night is dark and full of terrors? Because the seventh seal was broken in accordance with the prophecy? Because we're getting a kids version of Reservoir Dogs? There are many possible reasons as to why this clear cut sign of the end times was happening right in our fair town. But as Commander Spock once said when he quoted Sherlock Holmes, "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth."

Turns out this has less to do with the apocalypse, and more to do with the den of nerdery (I mean that with the utmost respect, as I frequently visit this shop) known as Kapow on Maine Street. It's a fun shop with all kinds of cool, classic toys and action figures. To quote Sam, "It's like Times Square in Quincy!" It really is. I'm all for anything to wander into town and brighten our days, as these two seem to be doing. Good on them, and Kapow!
