Entertainer of the Year

Brian's pick: George Strait

He's the King of country music. It's his farewell tour. He's awesome. He deserves this one.

Male Vocalist of the Year

Brian's pick: Luke Bryan

May be the biggest star in country music right now. His buddy Blake can make the same claim. Either may win.

Female Vocalist of the Year

Brian's pick: Miranda Lambert

Miranda has slowly made a nice transition to more meaningful songs than early in her career without losing her signature sass. She deserves this award.

Vocal Duo of the Year

Brian's pick: Florida Georgia Line

Arguably the biggest act in the business over the last two years. Enough said.

Vocal Group of the Year

Brian's pick: Little Big Town

This group is on the cusp of being huge and I think they will surprise a few people with this award.

New Artist of the Year

Brian's pick: Justin Moore

He's had more hits than his competition so I'm picking him here.

Album of the Year

Brian's pick: Same Trailer Different Park - Kacey Musgraves

I have this album and it's absolutely fantastic. Kacey is a little 'too hip for the room' in Nashville because she writes meaningful lyrics and doesn't just try to crank out hits based on formula. She's one of the premiere writers in Music City today. She may never have many 'hits' but that's because she sometimes sings about things country radio is a little afraid to play in the fear that listeners will be turned off by some of the subject matter. Let's face it, the country format isn't the first place you think of for a song that talks about gay acceptance, but Kacey gladly knocks those walls down. Go Kacey!

Single Record of the Year

Brian's pick: Cruise - Florida Georgia Line

No song was bigger on the charts, well... ever. This song should be a shoe in.

Song of the Year

Brian's pick: 'Every Storm Runs Out Of Rain-' Gary Allan

I'm picking this one because it's my favorite and I think Gary Allan is one of the most under-rated talents in the music business. He deserves the win.
