Here we go again -- another weekend chock full of things to do in northeast Missouri and western Illinois.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sponsors a hunter education class today from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitors Center at Mark Twain Lake.

Griggsville, Illinois hosts its annual Apple Festival beginning tonight and running all day Saturday.

The band, "Silver Wings," performs at the Pike County Senior Center in Pittsfield, IL Saturday night at 7.

The Living Lands & Waters organization is in Hannibal Saturday as the Great Mississippi River Cleanup continues from 9 a.m. to noon.

Arch United Methodist Church in Hannibal celebrates its 140 year anniversary this weekend, with activities at the church Saturday afternoon, and morning worship and a celebration banquet Sunday.

The 7th annual Great River Grape Escape is this weekend at Clat Adams Park on the Quincy riverfront. Activities run from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Oyster Prairie 4-H Club sponsors it semi-annual Hillbilly Auction Saturday at the Lewis County Fairgrounds east of Lewistown. Consignments will be taken starting at 8:30 a.m., with the sale at 10.

The M.W. Boudreaux Visitors Center at Mark Twain Lake will host Civil War reenactors and displays Saturday and Sunday.

The Bowling for Our Library fund raiser is Saturday at Pal Bowl in Palmyra, with a family bowl at 6:30 p.m. and an adult bowl at 9:30. It's hosted by the Palmyra Chamber of Commerce, and proceeds will benefit the Palmyra Bicentennial Public Library.

The annual Northeast Missouri Heart Walk is Saturday on the campus of Hannibal Regional Hospital, with registration at 9 a.m., a kids fun run at 10 and the heart walk to follow.
