Upcoming County Fair Concerts
The 2015 fair season is here! Dustin Lynch just performed in Rushville last weekend at the Schuyler County Fair, and the last week of June saw Cole Swindell, Joe Nichols and Parmalee make an appearance at the Sangamon County Fair. Here's a look at some of the upcoming county fair concerts scheduled around our region.
The Morgan County Fair in Jacksonville, Illinois is bringing the Eli Young Band to their stage on Friday, July 10. Madd Hoss Jackson will open. Track/grandstand tickets are $20. Front stage tickets are $30.
The 2015 NEMO Fair in Kirksville is July 12-July 18. Country stars appearing at the fair include: Rodney Atkins on July 13, Frankie Ballard on July 14, and Phil Vassar on July 15. Showtime is 8 p.m. for each concert. An opening act will play beginning at 7. The NEMO Fair is a "pay one price and do it all" fair. Daily passes are $20 at the gate.
The Lincoln County Fair in Troy, Missouri is known for its impressive country music lineup. This year, the fair will be July 14-July 18. Two country stars will be at the 2015 fair. Rodney Atkins will play starting at 7 p.m., then Easton Corbin will take the stage at 9 on Saturday, July 18.
The Adams County Fair is bringing a country music up-and-comer, and a former winner from 'The Voice' to Mendon. Fair dates are July 29-August 4. Concert night is Saturay, August 1. Craig Wayne Boyd opens the show at 7:30, and Eric Paslay will play beginning at 9. Grandstand seating is free with fair admission. Track seats are available for an additional $10.
Another act that came to fame on 'The Voice' will be at this year's Pike County Fair. The Swon Brothers are headlining in Bowling Green on Saturday, August 1. There will be live entertainment at the grandstand all afternoon, beginning with Pike 41 at 5:45, followed by The Brothers Roberson, The Cadillac Three, and then The Swon Brothers at 9:30. General Admission tickets to the Pike County Fair are all-inclusive, no reserve seats are sold for the concert.
It would be hard to imagine the Brown County Fair without a performance from hometown favorites Madd Hoss Jackson. Madd Hoss will play at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, followed by Brushville at 8:20 and Backroad Anthem at 10. The Brown County Fair will take place August 4-August 9.
This one is a little farther away than the others, but we have listeners that attend The Great Jones County Fair each year, and honestly, their lineup is so good that it could almost be a state fair. Toby Keith will be on stage in Monticello, Iowa on July 23, Eric Church on July 24, and Tim McGraw on July 25.
