In a press release, local bank officials say they are continuing their long standing support of the United Way, as the agency continues its 79 year history of work toward increasing the capacity for people to care for one another. U.S. Bank Foundation's sponsorship of nonprofit programs is an important part of the company's philanthropic initiatives.

The fund raising goal for this year's United Way campaign is $565,000.
